Once your event alert is set up, make it look like the rest of your website. Open the alert, go to the Design tab, and use the Design, Call to Action and Countdown timer sections. To find a setting quickly, type its name in Settings search. To set up the alert first, see How to add an event alert banner to your website.
Colours
The banner changes colour a second or two after it appears, to catch the visitor's eye. So in the Design section it has two sets of colours:
Initial background color and Initial text color: when the banner first appears.
Background color and Text color: after the change.
Close button color and Close button color on hover: the × visitors click to hide the banner.
For each one, choose Default or Custom. Use your brand colours, or colours that match the event. See Custom color picker.
Font and size
Under Typography, choose the Font family:
Default: Revisual's font.
Inherit: your website's font.
Custom: any Google font. Start typing its name in Type Google font name, then pick it from the list.
Under Size, drag the slider to set the text size.
The font applies to all the banner's text, except the countdown numbers, which have their own setting.
Call-to-action button
Add a button that takes visitors to the event, for example to book a spot.
In the Call to Action section:
Show Call To Action button: turn it on to show the button.
Open links in a new tab: keeps your website open behind the link.
CTA action: where the button goes, for example Open first URL from event's description. If the event doesn't have what the action needs, such as a link in its description, the button doesn't show.
Use default CTA button label: turn it off to write your own label, for example "Book your spot".
Under Design in the same section, set the button's colours. Like the banner, it has an initial colour, a colour after the change, and a colour on hover.
Countdown timer
A countdown shows how long is left until the event starts. In the Countdown timer section:
Show countdown timer: turn it on to show the countdown.
Show countdown timer for all day events: all-day events have no start time, so they don't show a countdown unless you turn this on. The countdown then runs to the start of the day.
Set the font and size of the countdown numbers under Typography and Size in the same section. They work like the banner's font and size.
