How to add your calendar to a Wix website

Add the Revisual script to your Wix site once, then embed your calendar on any page with an Embed HTML element.

Written by Piotr Poźniak

Adding your calendar to Wix takes two parts: add the Revisual script to your site once, then embed the calendar on the page you want.

Before you start: publish your calendar. See How to publish your calendar and add it to your website. Wix only lets you add custom code to the head of sites on a paid plan with a connected domain.

In Revisual, open your calendar's Install tab, click Install, choose Wix and click Next. Keep this window open: it has both snippets.

Part 1: Add the Revisual script to your site (once)

Step 1: In your Wix dashboard, click Settings, scroll down to Advanced and click Custom Code.

Step 2: In the Head section, click Add Code.

Step 3: In Revisual, open Installing Revisual on WIX and click Copy next to the snippet. Paste it into the code box in Wix.

Step 4: Give the code a name you'll recognise, for example "Revisual". The other settings can stay as they are.

Step 5: On the Code Type tab, mark the code as Essential, then apply it.

You only do this once per website, however many calendars you add.

Part 2: Add the calendar to a page

Step 1: In the Wix editor, open the page for your calendar.

Step 2: From Add Elements, drag Embed Code onto the page and choose Embed HTML.

Step 3: Under What do you want to add?, choose Code.

Step 4: In Revisual, open Adding calendar to selected page and click Copy. Paste it into Add your code here in Wix.

Step 5: Resize the element so the calendar fits the page, then publish your site.

To add another calendar, repeat Part 2 with that calendar's code.

Add an event alert to Wix

An event alert needs its own snippet in the head, added the same way as Part 1. Copy it from the alert's Install tab. See How to add an event alert banner to your website.

Calendar not showing?

  • Publish your Wix site. The editor may not show embedded code.

  • Check that the code from Part 1 is in Custom Code, in the Head, marked Essential.

  • Check that your calendar is published in Revisual.
