How to publish your calendar and add it to your website

Publish your calendar widget, then add it to WordPress, Wix, a Mailchimp email or any other website from the Install tab.

Written by Piotr Poźniak

When your calendar looks right, publish it and add it to your website. You do both on the calendar's Install tab: in the left-hand menu, click Widgets › Calendars, click your calendar's name and open Install.

Step 1: Publish your calendar

A new calendar is unpublished, and the tab says This widget is unpublished. Publish your widget first. Click Publish.

The box now says Your calendar is published, and Make this widget available to others is on.

Step 2: Add it to your website

Click Install.

Choose where your calendar goes, then click Next and follow the steps:

When you're done, click Finish.

Tip: some website builders don't show embedded code in their editor until you publish the page. Try it on a test or hidden page first, then add it to the real page.

Unpublish your calendar

To take your calendar offline, turn off Make this widget available to others. You can publish it again at any time, and the embed code, link and QR code keep working.

While it's unpublished:

  • On your website, visitors see a red message instead of the calendar: This calendar cannot be displayed as it is not published.

  • The calendar's sharable link and QR code open a 404! Calendar not found page.

So remove the calendar from your website's pages too, or publish it again.

Share it without a website

The Install tab also gives your calendar its own link and a QR code:

Event alerts

Event alerts have their own snippet. See How to add an event alert banner to your website.
