Calendar events not updating on your website? How syncing works

How Revisual keeps events from Google Calendar, or Outlook and Microsoft 365 calendars, up to date, and when to use resync or a full re-sync.

Written by Piotr Poźniak

Your connection on the Integrations page shows when it last synced and how many calendars it reads.

Auto-sync

With Auto-sync on, changes in your calendar appear in Revisual within a few minutes. Turn it off to freeze your events as they are, for example while you rework your calendar.

Resync: pull changes now

Click Resync on the connection, or click ⋮ and choose Resync now. Use this when you've just changed an event and don't want to wait.

Choose how far back to read

  1. Click ⋮ and choose Edit scopes and calendars.

  2. Open the Sync tab.

  3. Under How far back to read, choose Everything, Last 3 months or From today. Older events are ignored, which keeps syncing fast.

  4. Click Save changes.

Full re-sync: start from scratch

A full re-sync deletes the events Revisual has stored from this connection and reads everything again. Your filters and widget settings stay as they are.

Use it when a normal resync doesn't fix things, for example when deleted events still show in your widgets.

While it runs, your widgets show no events from this connection, so pick a quiet time.

Click ⋮ and choose Full re-sync, or go to the Sync tab and click Start.

Disconnect

Disconnect stops syncing and removes the events this account brought in. Widgets that use it will show no events until you connect a calendar again. You'll find it in the ⋮ menu and on the Sync tab.
