Google Calendar sync stopped? How to reconnect your account

Seeing "Session expired" in Revisual? Reconnect your Google account in a minute and get your events syncing to your website again.

Written by Piotr Poźniak

Revisual needs you to sign in to Google again when access has expired or been removed. This can happen after a password change, when access is removed in your Google account, or when a permission was unticked. We email you, and your connection on the Integrations page shows Session expired. Syncing stops until you reconnect, so changes in your calendar won't reach your widgets.

Reconnect

  1. Go to Integrations.

  2. On the connection, click Re-authenticate with Google.

  3. Choose the same Google account shown on the connection, and approve every permission on Google's screen.

You'll come back to the connection. Your widgets and settings are kept.

After reconnecting

  • Check that Auto-sync is on. Turn it back on if it's off.

  • Click Resync to pull in any changes made while the connection was expired.

If a permission is missing

If you unticked a permission on Google's screen, or need to add one (for example Events Attachments (optional) for event images):

  1. Click ⋮ on the connection and choose Edit scopes and calendars.

  2. On the Scopes tab, tick the permissions you need.

  3. Click Sign in with Google and approve them.

Still not syncing? Try a full re-sync or chat with us.
