Revisual reads events from your Outlook or Microsoft 365 calendar and shows them in your widgets. It works with personal Outlook.com accounts and with work or school Microsoft 365 accounts. Revisual only reads your calendar. It never changes or adds events.
Outlook support is in beta.
Before you start
Sign in to Microsoft with the account that has the calendars you want to show.
Events from the calendars you choose can appear on your website, so choose calendars meant for the public.
The number of integrations depends on your plan. The bottom of the Integrations page shows how many you've used.
Step 1: Open Integrations
In the left-hand menu, click Integrations, then Connect Outlook Calendar™. If you already have a connection, click Add integration in the top right first.
Step 2: Choose what Revisual may read
Under Scopes, tick the permissions you want to give:
Profile is always on. It shows your name on the connection.
Calendar API lets Revisual read your events. Without it, your widgets will have no events.
Events Attachments (optional) lets Revisual use an image attached to an event as its cover image. There's nothing else to set up: it uses the same calendar access.
You can change these later.
Step 3: Sign in with Microsoft
Click Sign in with Microsoft and choose your account. Microsoft then asks you to let Revisual.io access your info. Revisual is published by Kathodon LTD, a publisher verified by Microsoft. Revisual asks for:
Read your profile: to show your name on the connection.
Read your calendars: to read the events you choose to show.
Maintain access to data you have given Revisual.io access to: so your events keep syncing when you're not signed in to Revisual. It doesn't give Revisual any extra permissions.
Click Accept.
Work or school account? Your organisation may need to approve Revisual before you can connect. If Microsoft says you need an admin's approval, ask your IT admin to approve Revisual.io by Kathodon LTD, then try again.
Step 4: Choose the calendars to sync
Back in Revisual, tick the calendars whose events you want in your widgets. Only ticked calendars sync. Everything else on the account stays private.
Use Search calendars to find one quickly, or Select all to tick everything.
Calendar is your main Outlook calendar. Leave it unticked unless its events are meant to be public. The same goes for Birthdays and holiday calendars.
Click Save and finish.
Step 5: Wait for the first sync
The first sync takes a minute or two. When it's done, your connection shows the last sync time and how many calendars it reads.
With Auto-sync on, Revisual keeps your events up to date as they change. To sync straight away, click Resync.
Remove Revisual's access
Removing the connection in Revisual stops the sync. To remove the permission on Microsoft's side too:
Personal account (Outlook.com, Hotmail, Live): go to account.microsoft.com, open Privacy › Apps and services that can access your data, and remove Revisual.io.
Work or school account: go to myapps.microsoft.com, open the ⋯ menu on Revisual.io, choose Manage your application, then Revoke permissions. If your organisation approved Revisual for everyone, ask your IT admin.
If you connect again later, Microsoft asks for permission again.
