Google Calendar permissions: what Revisual asks for and why

What each Google Calendar permission lets Revisual do, which ones are required, and how to change them after you connect.

Written by Piotr Poźniak

When you connect Google Calendar, Revisual asks for a few permissions, shown as Scopes in the app. Revisual uses them to read your events. It never changes your calendar.

Change your permissions

Step 1: Go to Integrations.

Step 2: On your Google Calendar connection, click ⋮ and choose Edit scopes and calendars.

Step 3: Open the Scopes tab. It shows who granted access and when.

Step 4: Tick or untick permissions, then click Sign in with Google to confirm them with Google. You'll come back to the same connection.

If a permission goes missing

Permissions can be removed on Google's side, for example from your Google account's security settings or by your Google Workspace admin. Revisual checks its permissions before each sync. If one is missing, automatic syncing stops, you see a notice in Revisual, and we email you. To fix it, reconnect your Google Calendar.
